Victor Caruncho

INew York born, self-taught, artist, Victor Caruncho has an overwhelming passion for the
arts. Painting and Drawing was evident from an early age…
Growing up in a family of artists, he was surrounded by the works of the Old Masters
such as; Rembrandt, Vermeer, Van Gogh, Dali, Magritte and along with his favorite,
Caravaggio whom all have shaped his career.

After High School, Victor wanted to pursue his dreams of Art. He applied to the
prestigious School of Visual Arts (SVA) in Manhattan, NYC and got accepted. However,
after a certain flock of circumstances arose, Victor was not able to attend due to having
to support himself financially. A few years pass by after struggling and working odd and
end jobs Victor decided to take another artistic path. The opportunity came as he
enrolled in the Plaza School of Architectural Drafting and Design located in NJ. While
there he honed his skills in Architectural hand drafting and then later working with many
established Architectural and Engineering firms. Although this line of work differs, Victor
never abandoned his true passion of artistic expression. “Drawing and painting will
never cease from my veins, it’s in my blood!”

As the industry changed throughout the years and became more prominent with the use
of more computers, another turn of events came upon him as he set out to start his own
successful business as a Decorative Faux Painter and Artisan, leaving the world of
Architecture and Engineering behind. There his business thrived completing many
projects, accomplishing many faux finishes for homes and businesses and especially an
abundance of Murals and decorative designs. Fine art canvas work was also in full effect!
His unique look upon the world eminently shows in almost all aspects of his works from
diverse Architectural designs to fabulous wall finishes and to his surprisingly different
and separate views at everyday objects which are highly visible in all of his fine art
pieces. Honoring the likes of the surreal masters Dali and Magritte, in a way, Victor’s
works poke fun at everyday life in odd depictions of familiar objects in bizarre context.
Painting images that make you think with hidden meanings or simply no meaning at all.
Ordinary appear strange. A witty charm or a pun on words!

Victor’s other interests include Health, Fitness and Bodybuilding and a love for the
human form. Music, playing guitar, and spending time with his lovely family.

LuAnn Dunkinson

LuAnn Dunkinson is a watercolor artist living in Jacksonville, Florida. After earning her BFA from Kutztown University in Pennsylvania, she relocated and raised her two children in New Jersey. To make a long story short- there was a year-long trip around the world after the kids left the nest, and then a job offer that brought her to Jacksonville. She has been retired since 2019.

When asked why she loves working in watercolor, her reply is that watercolor is like working a puzzle…another pastime she enjoys. When everything works out as it should, the results can be amazing but you just can’t predict what watercolor will do. There must be a bit of planning ahead of time and sometimes there is even a fortunate occasion when watercolor will work its magic, whether planned or not.

LuAnn is currently serving as President of the Jacksonville Watercolor Society, after serving several years on the Board. She is also an active member of the First Coast Plein Aire Painters, Florida Watercolor Society, Jacksonville Artist Guild, St Augustine Art Association, and the Jacksonville Urban Sketchers. She’s won numerous awards for her watercolors, most notably The Cheap Joes Purchase Award at the Florida Watercolor Society’s 50Th Anniversary Show in 2021. Most recently, she won a Merit Award at the Jacksonville Watercolor Society’s Spring 2025 show in St Augustine. There have also been several awards in Plein Aire painting, including the First Place Blue Ribbons at the St Mary’s Plein Aire Competition in 2022 and 2023, with a second place in 2024 and 2025, as well as a Fourth Place Award at the St Augustine Plein Aire Pop Up in 2025.

LuAnn is represented by The Butterfield Garage Gallery in St. Augustine. She lives in Avondale with her husband, Andy, and beloved Great Dane, Heidi.
